Cliff Jeans refuses for the Southside to be left out in the hip-hop scene. The Ndebele rapper dropped an audio track as a reminder to the flamboyant artists Enzo Ishall and Holy Ten, who claim that Harare is the capital city of Hip-hop. The latter names are self-proclaiming and imitating their names as the ‘kings’ of the genre in Zimbabwe.
“The silence of a lion is surely not to be taken for a fool…A reminder is not a diss song, but rather a message to Enzo Ishall, Holy Ten, and the Rest that the ‘kings of Hip Hop’ will always come from the city of Kings and Queens as the name on its own speak volumes.” Cliff Jeans said via his Facebook post.
Cliff Jeans pay a special tribute to the late king Cal Vin, how he fought for Bulawayo and proclaimed it the hip hop capital of the country. He believes that Bulawayo is talented not based on tribal lines but on actual facts.
This shall signify the coming back of Bulawayo in the Hip Hop scene. Get the facts right! It’s not him claiming to be a king, it’s him reminding everyone where real Hip Hop is sited, Ko Ntuntu, The city of Kings and Queens.
