Umjolo (dating) has been a trend on social circles especially on social media with some referring it to “The Pandemic”, a metaphor explaining how dating is toxic and deadly like the COVID19 virus.
The video was produced by Rasquesity Keaitse (Keaitse Films) and features acts DJ Skaiva, Charmaine Mudau, Percy Soko, Nokuthula Khumalo and Ethan Banda among others. The music production being done by fast rising amapiano duo “Conga Brothers”, Shekinah (guitarist) and Larynx Voicebox (mixing & mastering).
Mzoe7’s opening remarks were to thank Sandra Ndebele and Khuxx man for the motivation, “When I grew up I always admired Sandra Ndebele and Khuxx man and I told myself that one day I will rise and get to work with the artists. I remember this other day, Khuxx man gave me a handshake and I didn’t bath my hands for two days.”
“The way I always wanted to get closer to the artist (Khuxx man) kindled fire in my heart and I told myself one day I will be the next big artist who will feature or collaborate with him. These are the very same words I told my sister Sandra Ndebele that as much as I looked up on her, I will be the next big artist she’s going to work with.”
“Having a launch of this magnitude testifies of how my brand is growing. We have a lot of corporates who have trusted me with their logos, they have faith in me and I trust I will be of good service to their brands as well.” he said.
The artist of the day, Mzoe7, also extended his gratitude to DJ Skaiva labelling him his “bestfriend” as he narrated a summary of their background and how the two acts have always been there for each other for welfare and career concerns.
